Why there is no single price
Ask five companies for “a limousine” and you may receive five very different numbers, because each may be quoting a different car, duration or set of inclusions. Understanding what drives the price helps you compare offers properly.
The five biggest price factors
1. Vehicle class
The step from an executive sedan to a flagship luxury sedan, and again to an ultra-luxury car, is significant. Choose the class that fits the occasion rather than defaulting to the most expensive.
2. Duration or distance
Transfers are usually priced by route, while hourly and daily bookings are priced by time with a minimum duration.
3. Leaving Dubai
Intercity journeys to Abu Dhabi, Al Ain or the northern emirates are normally quoted per route and take the vehicle away for longer.
4. Timing and demand
Peak seasons, major events and public holidays put pressure on premium vehicles. Booking early improves choice.
5. Inclusions
Fuel, tolls, parking, waiting time and VAT may or may not be included. A lower headline figure can end up more expensive.
How to compare quotes
- Confirm the exact vehicle class (or model) in writing
- Check what is included: fuel, tolls, parking, waiting, VAT
- Ask about minimum hours and overtime rates
- Read the cancellation terms, especially for ultra-luxury cars
- Make sure the operator is properly licensed for chauffeur services
